to sixth, still a couple of seconds
adrift, but clear of top satellite
rider Smith, seventh marking his
best of the year.
Petrucci took eighth off Espar-
garo with four laps to go, and had
left him trailing by the end. Ducati

third, Pedrosa tailing him over the
line by less than two-tenths.

race on the last lap, and pro-
nounced himself happy with the
podium, but disappointed with his
bad start. "I had the pace to fight
for the win today," he said.
