before the end and I just couldn't
get back around. It's unfortu-
nate, but it was still a good race
overall."
For Duvall, it was one of his
strongest rides of the year and
there was a time that it looked as
though he might pull off the win.
"I felt like I could have won all
day, but I just came up short the
last lap," said Duvall. "I made a
mistake and rode super tight. I
tried everything I could do the
last lap and had a good line
going up the hill climb gaining
seconds, but it was a sprint to
the finish and I couldn't make up
the time."
Westfield Powersports KTM/
Moose Racing's Jordan Ashburn
ended up fourth overall while
early leader Chris Bach, on the
JCR Honda CRF450R, rounded
out the top five overall.
Russell extended his points
lead to 24 over Strang.
In XC2, JCR Honda/Lucas
Oil/Maxxis/Fly Racing's Trevor
Bollinger captured his fifth win of
the championship.
Craig DeLong, on the Coastal
Racing/MSR Husqvarna, fought
hard to keep Bollinger on his
toes and wound up taking sec-
ond.
Trail Jester Racing's Benja-
min Kelley completed the XC2
podium.
"There's going to be break-
downs and days that I just don't
feel good on the bike," said Bol-
linger. "It's a long championship
and I'm just taking it one race at
a time. Today everything worked
well together to get back where
we were." CN
