YOUNG CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT
INAUGURAL JUNIORMOTOX
T
he inaugural Lucas Oil
JuniorMotoX, presented by
Monster Energy attracted the
top youth racers to compete
for wins in 22 classes inside
the Lazy E Arena on May 13-14.
The participants had positive
feedback for the racetrack that
was created with extensive input
from Jerry Masterpool to cre-
ate a challenging, safe layout
that provided multiple lines. And
the dirt lived up to the billing
as some of the best dirt on the
planet for motocross. The event
featured a live webcast pro-
duced by the Lucas Oil Racing
TV production team and the po-
dium finishers were greeted by
former Miss Supercross Diana
Dahlgren for interviews—a great
bonus for the winners.
"After one day of practice and
two days of racing, the track
provided exciting race action
and no serious injuries," said
Eric Peronnard, the co-creator
of the JuniorMotoX. "I am so
thankful to the racers, families
and sponsors that trusted us to
create an event worth their par-
ticipation and I am very proud
of the team of people that put
so much effort into making this
event a great success."
There were 21 classes and
one special class to cap off the
event named the Jesse Cup.
The top eight finishers in the two
Supermini classes were invited
to compete in the final race of
the evening to honor the late
Jesse Masterpool. Monster Ka-
wasaki Team Green's Lance Ko-
busch made up for an off-night
in the two Supermini classes to
come back and win the Jesse
Cup over Jeremy Ryan and
Carter Biese. And Ty Master-
pool, Jesse's younger brother,
finished fourth after taking a
win in the Mini Senior 2 12-14
class earlier in the evening. The
entire event was a great tribute
to Jesse.
Other notable class winners
included Jett Reynolds, Joey
Crown, Jake Masterpool, Mat-
thew LeBlanc, Ryder Difrances-
co, Jordan Bailey, Jarrett Frye
and Jordan Jarvis.
There will be a one-hour
feature TV show schedule to air
on MAVTV within a few weeks.

The 65cc (9-11)
class get started
at the inaugural
JuniorMotoX
at the Lazy E
Arena in Guthrie,
Oklahoma.
Ty Masterpool took the win in
the Mini Sr. 2 (12-14) class.
