"There is a reason that Guzzisti are not so common.
Van Gogh didn't sell very many paintings either"
Moto Guzzi Griso
Pretty good article about the
Griso and I can tell that your
jaded "Moto-Journo" mindset
was struggling to understand
why you liked the bike so
much. You touched on it when
you said that you stopped
thinking about dyno numbers
and quarter-mile times and just
enjoyed the ride.
You are still not quite there
on your attitude adjustment
though, as evidenced by your
comment about the lack of
"custom" builders doing Griso
projects. The point of a "cus-
tom" build is to create a bike
that is more functional or better
looking than stock. The Griso is
not a good candidate because
almost nobody has the style
and brains to make any im-
provement over the stock bike.
Maybe you should hang out
with Miguel over at the design
studio and take some lessons
in real cooliosiness.
There is a reason that
Guzzisti are not so common.
Van Gogh didn't sell very many
paintings either.

We Don't Care…
Just recently came across this
photo of my dad, Ricky, and
I. He's rocking your shirt so I
thought I'd share it with you.
Maybe 1980?
Enjoy.

Cycle News Thoughts
Could you please post the race
results at the end of each article
like when you were in print?
Kit Palmer's road tests have
always been the best in the
industry!
It took a while, but I've kind
of got the hang on this maga-
zine online thing. My world is
so groovy again now that I can
read CN once a week.

Las Vegas Supercross
One of the strangest and crazi-
est races I've seen; started
wondering if anyone was go-
ing to finish! No way to really
prepare for that type of mud.
Congrats to Malcolm Stewart
and Cooper Webb for surviv-
ing it.

2017 Supercross
Schedule
It would really be nice if they
would bring back a race in Kan-
sas City. Long trek to go to St.
Louis, and an even longer one
to Minneapolis.
Charlie Bagley
No Houston round again.
Arrggh. Fourth largest city in
the U.S. and no supercross?
