KLIM TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL
COW TAG RIDE
F
or the second consecutive
year Klim is set to host the
Cow Tag Off-road Ride. This
unique event gives rider the op-
portunity to spend a day riding
amazing single-track trails while
helping to support trail advocacy
groups. The event will be held
on June 25 at Kelly Canyon Ski
Resort just a few miles from
Klim's Idaho headquarters. In
addition to raffle prizes, great
food and great riding alongside
pro racers, one lucky rider will
win a brand new Beta 300 RR
Race Edition.
The Cow Tag is a one-day
event that puts riders on the
Big Hole Mountain trail system
where they will go in search of
Cow Tags. Guided by maps and
GPS tracks, individual riders
will be challenged to collect as
many, or the most challenging
(depending on your strategy)
Cow Tags for valuable raffle tick-
ets to be used for prize drawings
at the end of the event.
"Keeping trails open to motor-
ized use is something all of us
at Klim care deeply about," said
Klim Marketing Director John
Summers. "Our first Cow Tag
event was a huge success and
raised a lot of money and aware-
ness for trail advocacy organi-
zations. Building on what we
learned last year, the 2016 Cow
Tag will be even better."
The event is limited to 250
riders and spots are filling up
quickly. To enter, or for more
information, visit www.klim.com/
cow-tag-registration. Even if you
can't make it to Idaho for the
event, you can still enter to win
the Beta at www.sharetrails.org/

MONSTER ENERGY TO SPONSOR
ALL-NEW SMX RIDERS' CUP
Y
outhstream recently an-
nounced that Monster
Energy will be the title sponsor of
the all-new SMX Riders' Cup, a
unique stadium motocross event
(read: a supercross event clev-
erly not called "supercross") that
will take place in Gelsenkirchen,
Germany, on October 8, 2016.
Youthstream President Giuseppe
Luongo was joined by Team
Suzuki World MXGP's Team
Manager Stefan Everts, Rockstar
Energy Husqvarna's Antti Pyrho-
nen and DP19 Yamaha's David
Philippaerts for the announce-
ment in Teutschenthal at the May
7-8 MXGP of Germany.
The unique format of the
race will pit seven manufactur-
ers (KTM, Honda, Husqvarna,
Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and
TM) against each other, each
fielding a four-rider team (three
main riders and one "Joker" that
can replace any rider on the
team at any time). Riders can
compete aboard any bike they
want between 245cc to 450cc—
two-stroke or four-stroke. Team
captains will compete for pole
position in a two-lap Superpole
sprint, and riders will then line
up for three SMX main event
races. The Riders' Cup will
award the individual overall win-
ner, while combined scores from
all three riders in all three races
will determine the Manufacturers
Cup winner.
In addition to the main events,
there will be two junior classes:
the SMX 125cc class and a
YZ125 Cup, which is an invita-
tional for Yamaha riders.
