WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
VOL. 53 ISSUE 16 APRIL 26, 2016 P53
(Left) Eli Tomac looked like his old self again
at Foxborough. It appears he's finally getting
dialed in with his new bike; unfortunately, it
took all season. He passed Dungey for second
and pressured Roczen for a while before
settling into the position. Had he passed
Roczen, Dungey would've been champ. Despite
winning the Daytona Supercross, Tomac really
wants a more traditional supercross victory
before it's all over—he's got just two more
chances.
(Above) Like Davalos in the 250SX East main,
Jeremy Martin (6) came up through the pack
and got into second place after passing
Malcolm Stewart. He then turned up the heat
on Davalos but just couldn't make the pass. He
needed the points, because he's now just 14
points out of first place in the championship
and nine points behind his Yamalube/Star
Racing Yamaha teammate Aaron Plessinger,
who couldn't do much with a ninth-place start.
