IN THE WIND P38 JAMES STEWART SETS SIGHTS ON MX J ust days before the April 23 Foxborough Supercross, the Yoshimura Suzuki Team announced that James Stewart will sit out the re- maining rounds of the 2016 Monster Energy AMA supercross Series and focus on the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, which gets underway May 21 in Sacramento, California with the Hangtown Classic. Injuries have decimated his supercross assault and Stewart is going to use the time to let his body heal and rest up, while also using the time to get in some outdoor testing. "James has a hairline fracture in his ankle and he aggravated his back injury from his Daytona crash last week in St. Louis," said Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager Mike Webb. "Clearly, he needs time to heal and get ready for Hangtown." "I want to be out there racing," Stewart said. "My fans and sponsors are important to me, but ultimately I need to focus on getting completely healed-up and be solid and ready to go the next time I roll up to the starting gate at Hangtown." CN James Stewart will sit out the rest of the supercross series to focus on the upcoming start of the outdoor MX championship.
