SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD ROUND 14 / APRIL 16, 2016 ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI / THE DOME AT AMERICA'S CENTER P54 My Own Race: 21 JASON ANDERSON 3 RD 450SX For the third straight week, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Jason Anderson finished out the night on the third step of the podium, but lost second place two turns from the finish when he got passed by Roczen. Anderson looked to have the position locked up until plowing through a soft berm that gave way on him, losing traction and letting Roczen get by him. Anderson wasn't happy with getting third again. "I started up front and once again finished on the podium," said Anderson, "but I want more. I need to get holeshots, not just good starts, and I want to win races, not just be on the podium. I know I'm capable and I know my Husqvarna FC 450 is capable." 19 JUSTIN BOGLE 4 TH 450SX GEICO Honda's Justin Bogle seems to be finally adjusting to the 450SX class after finishing in the top 10 in the last four races, but a fourth at the St. Louis round was a career best for the Oklahoman. "The day went good; I feel like I had a breakthrough night," said Bogle. "I started around ninth but made my way to fourth by the end. I had some good battles along the way, really had to work for the positions, which makes it feel even better. It's really start- ing to come around for me now—best finish of the season and we learned a lot from it." 3 ELI TOMAC 7 TH 450SX For Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac, his day didn't end as well as it started. He showed plenty of speed in qualifying, reeling off the quickest time when all was said and done, but bad starts bit him in the evening program. He finished fourth in his heat and went down in the first turn of the main after clipping a Tuff Block and damaging his bike. He was 20th after the first lap. "This weekend definitely had its ups and downs," said Tomac. "I was fastest in qualifying and came out of my heat race in fourth. For the main I had a really good start until someone hit me from behind, pushing me into a Tuff Block and bending my shifter. From that point on I put my head down and did as much as I could." Tomac is currently all alone in fourth place in the standings. He trails Anderson by 34 points and leads fifth-place Chad Reed by 18 points. 377 CHRISTOPHE POURCEL 18 TH 450SX The hot-and-cold Christophe Pourcel of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team was definitely cold on this day. "I wasn't comfort- able all day. The only problem was me," said Pourcel who is already looking forward to the outdoor nationals, which get underway in May. "My body is still not 100 percent from my injury, but I'm working to get there. My bike was great; I just have to get myself better. That's my plan for the last three races—improve every time I'm on the bike so I can start outdoors strong." 41 TREY CANARD 5 TH 450SX "I really enjoyed the track all day today," said HRC Honda's Trey Canard of his fifth-place finish. "I felt comfortable and we made some good ad- justments right away, so everything was clicking. I felt strong all day, but again, my starts were not on par, which really cost me. I definitely think I could've been on the podium and battling with those guys up front, but you can't do that from last place. I had an okay jump but got stopped when another rider in front of me went down and I had to go around him. Definitely not the way I wanted to start it, but I'm happy with how I rode. We have three more, so hopefully I can finish strong."
