onathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing
Team) left the Assen WorldSBK
rounds, April 16-17, with an umbrella
full of new stats to his name, and
another two wins that make it five
from eight starts.
Little time for testing in race
weekends in 2016, but Rea is still
doing a fair bit of that as he tried to
find a bike that works as well as last
year's.
He may never succeed, but he
is still doing more with his new bike
than anybody else could manage in
two races, with the same track time
available to all.
"Coming from Aragon I would not
say we struggled because we fin-
ished second and third," said Rea
after his second win in two days. "A
great result today and I was really
happy but I just did not feel right
with the bike. We tried a request
I have been asking for in morn-
ing warm up and there is a huge
positive from that. We need to iron
out some of the new electronics
strategies. By the time of Imola we
can refine that there and it should
let me take my riding to the next
