SUPERCROSS ROUND 13 / APRIL 9, 2016 INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA / LUCAS OIL STADIUM P88 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES 23 AARON PLESSINGER 1ST 250SX Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha's Aaron Pless- inger made a very difficult track look almost easy on his way to his first win of the year. "I've had a rough couple of weeks, and I just went back with [trainer] Gareth Swanepoel and [teammate] Cooper Webb and trained my butt off," Pless- inger said. "That really helped!" 50 MALCOLM STEWART 2ND 250SX GEICO Honda's Malcolm Stewart made the best of a rough night in Indianapolis to finish second and hold onto the points lead as the series heads to St. Louis. "Believe it or not, this race was one of the toughest rounds just because the track changes every lap," Stewart said. "I had a few big mistakes, and I've got to give it to Aaron [Pless- inger]; he was just the better man today. He rode good. I'm happy to keep my GEICO Honda on the box. You can't win the championship in one race, but you can lose it in one race..." 4 BLAKE BAGGETT 5TH 450SX It's been a long, tough, sometimes painful and frustrating supercross season for Yoshimura Suzuki's Blake Baggett, but things are begin- ning to look up for the former 250 National MX Champion. Baggett suffered an injury during the off-season and returned midstream, then suffered another setback. Ever since returning at Daytona, he has struggled to finish in the top 10, but he smashed that by placing fifth at Indy. Baggett came out of timed qualifying 13th and then won his Semi. In the main, Baggett ran 11th on the first lap then worked his way up to fourth by the time it was all over. At that time, he had his sights on fourth-place Canard. "Fifth-place for the night, definitely my best race of the year," Baggett said. "It's good. We're coming along, plugging away and going in the right direction, definitely improv- ing. We're just going to build on it from here. I'm excited."
