CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Ryan Dungey's change in aggressiveness from last year is amazing." Lorenzo To Ducati I've been thinking Jorge Lorenzo will take the Ducati offer. Its not just the money, or the fact that its an improving bike, not just a chance to "do what Valentino Rossi could not" (it makes me smile to see that Rossi is already keen to point out that it's a far more competitive bike now, that is despite it being winless since 2010, and a bike that had won when Rossi took it over from Casey Stoner). I think it's also because Rossi has re-signed with Yamaha (let's milk the cash cow a couple of times more) and Lorenzo is fed up with playing second fiddle to a very difficult (off-track) teammate who he has been faster than for years. If Yamaha still appreciates Rossi more, then I think his bruised ego will say, "well then, let them have Rossi, but they cannot have me to win for them as well." Can't blame Lorenzo for that. Yamaha will badly need a new rider (Vinales?) with the pace and consistency to mount a serious challenge to replace Lorenzo, as I am sure they know (while Rossi keeps the sponsors happy and the money rolling in), and Rossi isn't going to be bringing any more world titles to Yamaha (unless Yamaha comes up with a bike that is just so much better than anything else out there). Graham Walsh Unless I understood it wrong, Rossi is not faster than Lorenzo and never will be. Rossi hasn't done a thing in GP racing for the last six years. Lorenzo was champion three times. It's just all the BS that number 46 carries with him because of his arrogance and all the money he brings in to Yamaha and to MotoGP. Unfortunately and ultimately that's what counts— money first, then the rest. And that's what Rossi does best— bring money. As a racer, he's a nobody and, by the way, for me he nev- er was anybody. He was just racing with no talented riders at the track and when there's no talented riders on the track, it's easy to be champion. In the last six years, with talented rid- ers at the track, he just hasn't done a thing and at 37 will do even less. Jimmy Mello Indy Supercross Ryan Dungey's change in ag- gressiveness from last year is amazing. Rather than ride out- side his comfort level, it looks like he just upped the program until it was in his comfort zone. Dan Connolly It's been a long time since so many lappers have played a role in the lead postion. To his credit, Ken Roczen took ad- vantage of it and nearly pulled off the win because every time Ryan Dungey gained, he had to adjust to slower lines. It's all part of racing and most of the riders moved out of the way as best as they could under the difficult conditions. That's why I have called out Justin Barcia this time. I've criticized him far too often not to give him credit when credit was due. Gregory Eddinger If Roczen would have stayed on KTM, he would have had better starts and wouldn't be chasing after Dungey every race. Gil Whitaker Further Evidence Dear Cycle News, after read- ing the latest issue of your magazine and the article "Tax- man Bears Down On Dorna," as CEO of SEL Srl, a company mentioned in it, I would like to report further evidence of the alleged accusation to Dorna. On April 1, one of the major newspapers in Italy, "La Re- pubblica," posted an online article with an audio record- ing (now in possession of the Spanish authorities), in which former shareholder of Dorna, Jordi Pons, clearly says that the company DWW Freight Service, based in Holland, is a "pantalla" (Spanish for screen, ghost, meaning that it is an empty box).
