BLOSE STARS AT ONTARIO ARENACROSS
T
he AMSOIL Arenacross Se-
ries kicked off its Race to
the Championship at the Ontario
round of the 2016 season, where
the Citizens Business Bank Are-
na hosted two intense nights of
action. Chris Blose took a dou-
ble victory on the weekend, and
the first steps toward the Ricky
Carmichael Cup. In the Western
Regional Arenacross Lites main
events, Cheyenne Harmon and
Stone Edler were the big win-
ners.
Two nights of racing kicked
off on Friday, April 1, where
Chris Blose took the big win.
The Team Babbitt's/Monster
Energy/AMSOIL Kawasaki rider
started the night off right by
taking the RMATV/MC Head 2
Head Challenge win, and the
extra point. The first main event
saw Blose's teammate Gavin
Faith capture the holeshot and
the early lead. Blose challenged
Faith for the point, but had to
work extra hard to take over
the lead for good. From there
Blose opened up a small gap
while Faith worked to hold onto
second. But he would also lose
footing to TiLUBE/TUF Rac-
ing Honda's Jace Owen, who
got by him late in the race to
take second. Faith held on for
third ahead of TZR/Woodstock
KTM's Travis Sewell and Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna Factory
Racing presented by FMC and
OTSFF rider Gared Steinke
rounded out the top-five.
In the second main event on
Friday night, it was Ben Lamay's
turn to take the holeshot and
the early lead. The TiLUBE/TUF
Racing Honda rider proved that
was all he needed to carry the
lead to the finish, as he took the
win unchallenged. Blose fol-
lowed behind in second, making
sure to remain in front of Faith in
order to capture the overall win.
Faith ran in third-place for much
of the race, but his teammate
Jacob Hayes wasn't far off. Faith
had to deal with some late-
race pressure from Hayes, but
successfully fended him off to
secure the final podium position
in the main.
