MTB SRS CARBON
GROUND SOLE
The MTB SRS CARBON-GROUND Sole raises the
standard for mountain bike performance, dropping
off about 100 grams per pair compared to the previous
Dragon Carbon SRS sole without sacrificing power or durability. The MTB
SRS CARBON-GROUND Sole consists of replaceable tread blocks in
the toe and heel attached to a medium-modulus carbon sole, plus the
innovative Replaceable MTB Plate, designed to prevent sole damage
from pedal contact. Most Dual-Retention Bar type MTB Pedals
(such as Crankbrothers and LOOK) recommend using
a reinforcement plate between the cleat and the
shoe in order to prevent cracking or denting
the sole. The MTB Plate can be replaced in
case of damage from the pedal system,
so adding the weight of an aftermarket
reinforcement plate is optional. The
Ground SRS treads and MTB Plate are
easily removable and replaceable. The
MTB SRS CARBON-GROUND Sole is
toe-spike compatible.
MTB SRS CARBON
COMPOSITE SOLE
In 1999, SIDI revolutionized mountain bike shoe
design with the SOLE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM (SRS),
owing mountain bikers to replace the most wear-heavy part of the
shoe—the sole. The MTB SRS CARBON COMPOSITE Sole
consists of four inserts screwed, easily removable
and replaceable. In addition an optional toe
guard can be installed using the same
screws as the insert. The SRS tread
panels and screws are available
as spare parts. It is toe spike
compatible.
MTB COMPETITION SOLE
Has been specifically studied for this specialty, may
be fitted with two toe spikes on the front for traction
in difficult and muddy conditions. The toe spikes are
sold separately
OUTDOOR SOLE
The OUTDOOR rubber high performance sole has the
correct density for variable trial conditions and has
been designed to provide excellent grip and to easily
expel mud and debris. 4-holes plate for SPD pedals.
