Sidi Sport was founded over 56 years ago by
sports footwear icon, Dino Signori, along with a small
staff of enthusiasts. They started with hiking boots and
moved on to create the first rear entry ski boot. From
there he took the first steps in building what is today the
premier brand in bicycling shoes-Sidi.
In his spare time, Dino dabbled in one of his country's
favorite sports, motorcycling! Working with Italy's
motorcycle hero, Giacomo Agostini, Dino took road race
footwear to new heights. At the same time, he worked
with five time world champion Joel Robert to create the
world's first purpose built motocross boot, sold in the
USA under the Full Bore brand name.
In subsequent years, Dino and his Sidi design team
have created some of the most groundbreaking
designs in motorcycle footwear. The Royal boot
was the first to offer inner ankle protection, the SRS
replacement system was unveiled and is still in use
today. The bullet proof cam-lock off road boot buckle
system was produced.
Over the past few years the hinged and exceptionally
rigid boots like the Crossfire 2, Mag-1, Vertebra and
Vortice have taken the market by storm and Sidi's
competitors by surprise.
All Sidi boots are built in limited quantities and Sidi is
perhaps the only Italian shoe company that does not
source out any aspect of its production process. All
Sidi boots are constructed in Sidi's Italian managed
Romanian factory or at its corporate design facility in the
boot center of the world, Treviso, Italy.
