SUPERCROSS ROUND 10 / MARCH 12, 2016 TORONTO, CANADA / ROGERS CENTRE P82 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES 36 JUSTIN HILL 1ST 250SX Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull KTM's Justin Hill almost had a perfect weekend in Toronto. He was the fastest qualifier, finished second in his heat race behind Malcolm Stewart, then went out and dominated the main event, winning by 20 seconds. It had been 13 races since he last won one. "You know, we qualified quick- est in practice, we were the quickest in the heat race, and the bike was working awesome, so I just had all the confidence in the world coming into the main," Hill said. "It was just a run-and-hide thing. There was really nobody to battle with except Shane [McElrath] and my buddies." 6 JEREMY MARTIN 2ND 250SX Despite going down in the first turn, through no fault of his own, Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha's Jeremy Martin fought his way all the way back up to second place by lap nine of the 15-lap main event. By that point, Hill was gone, but it was a championship-saving ride from the two-time outdoor champ. "You know, I've been fortunate enough to win two outdoor national cham- pionships, and that's 24 motos and 12 rounds, so it's about consistency," Martin said. "Tonight, I got out to a great jump, and unfortunately someone bumped me, and all their weight went on me, and I went down in the first turn. Congrats to Justin. He was on it all day today. We were chasing him all day, and we felt like we were making progress, and if would've been 1-2, I think we would've had one heck of a battle in that main event." 32 MATT BISCEGLIA 3RD 250SX MAD Racing Suzuki's Matt Bisceglia came in the series behind the eight ball due to injuries, but after an 11th and a 19th in the first two rounds, he landed third in Toronto. "Honestly, it's been a rough off-season," Bisceglia said. "It's been a long road. I've had a couple injuries. It was only about a month ago I was sitting in the hospital getting surgery so I could come race tonight. The first couple rounds I was just getting my feet wet—getting back into it—I wasn't quite ready." 50 MALCOLM STEWART 6TH 250SX Despite all the drama, which included having to stop twice for repairs, GEICO Honda's Malcolm Stewart did well to salvage a sixth in the 250 main. "I was not giving up," said Stewart. "The thing is I work too hard to give up. There's no chance in heck I am coming back to this truck [before the race ends]. Unless that motorcycle cannot run, I'm not coming back here. I worked too hard in the offseason, and the team knows that I want to win. They know. If anything they came back with smiles on their face just because they know that's riding like a champion. That's what's going to get you wins. Once you get the ball rolling there ain't going to be nobody to stop you. That's my positive energy leaving this. Overall I'm happy. The team did the best we could. From that fall I tweaked my bike up pretty good so I had to come in twice just to re-tweak stuff back in place and things like that. I can't be too bummed out, just because I know that it could have been worse. To be honest, I felt like that was the best I ever rode in a very long time. To- night showed that I was riding off of heart. I want to win. I felt like if anybody else was in that same situation they probably would have just been pissed off and went back [to the truck], but I didn't." 53 TYLER BOWERS 11TH 250SX Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Tyler Bowers was one of the favorites going into the 250SX main after winning his heat race, his first of the year. But things quick- ly unraveled in the main. After a bumpy first lap, Bowers was working his way back up to the front and was running third when he went down after tangling with another rider. "Tonight was an improve- ment," said Bowers. "I felt really good in practice and had a good plan for the night, which paid off with a heat win. I tried to stick with the same plan and keep it smooth for the main event, when I decided to make my move for the lead, I made a mistake and went down. I picked myself up and fought back for as many points as possible. All things considered I'm happy to have my heat-race win, next up is the main event."
