VOL. 53 ISSUE 10 MARCH 15, 2016 P33
to the amateur racers. With
over 1600 entries at this year's
RCSX the MX Sports crew had
to run a tight schedule to get all
the heats completed by Sunday
night. On Monday morning the
LCQs were run and by 11:00
A.M. the 35 RCSX class cham-
pionship mains started.
The racing was intense in
all 35 classes with some great
battles throughout the day.
Monster Energy Team Green
Kawasaki's Austin Forkner had
a stellar weekend, taking home
two championships in Open Pro
Sport and 250 B. With Pro Cir-
cuit's Mitch Payton looking on,
Forkner battled against some
fast riders like Bradley Taft, Sean
Cantrell and Cameron McAdoo.
McAdoo came into the RCSX
with a new amateur team sup-
porting him. The Motoconcepts
Smarttop racing team headed
by Tony Alessi came out to help
McAdoo after seeing his speed
at Club MX, a training facility
in SC. Alessi brought out his
amateur notebook and helped
McAdoo claim second place
behind Forkner in both classes.
The WMX Championship
held its first round at the RCSX
again this year. The ladies ran a
two-moto format on Monday and
Kylie Fasnacht emerged victori-
ous with a 2-1 finish. Jordan
Jarvis claimed the Girls Sr. (12-
16) victory and also won her very
first Women Amateur (12+) RCSX
title aboard her Triangle Cycles
Yamaha.
Team Green Kawasaki rider
Jett Reynolds put on a clinic
by sweeping both his classes.
The talented rider took home
championships in both 85 (9-11)
and 85 (9-12). Another standout
performance was put in by rising
star Matthew LeBlanc. The KTM
Orange Brigade rider defended
his 2015 RCSX titles by taking
home two RCSX Championships
in 65 (10-11) and 65 (7-11) then
went out and got a second place
finish in the 85 (9-11) class.
Michael Byrne chose the
RCSX to start his vet career in
amateur racing. "Byrner" easily
won RCSX titles in both Junior
25 and Vet (35+). Byrne plans
on racing both these classes at
the Loretta Lynn Amateur Na-
tional later this summer. Rob Koy
Matthew
LeBlanc was
flying in the
7-11 and 10-11
classes.
Jett Reynolds came away
with a couple of titles.
