CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Dungey showed a ton of class by devoting his after-race comments to praising his teammate." Blue Flags, Musquin, Stewart, NASCAR… Wow. The [Atlanta Supercross] was incredible. And yes, you have to feel a bit sorry for Marvin Musquin. That race was his, but I'm on the fence with the James Stewart issue. Yes, Stewart should have moved over, and for not doing so in the whoop straight and the following corner, he should be criticized. But on the section where the lead change occurred, Stewart was on the left side of the track. Marvin would have won that race had he doubled out of that corner rather than trying the triple. The case job on the triple did him in. I'm sure the entire KTM team is thankful that no one was hurt. And Dungey showed a ton of class by devoting his after- race comments to praising his teammate. Dungey looked like he was quite upset at the post- race interview. I'm sure the conversation among the KTM team was quite animated after the race. Dungey's precision and ag- gression, passing people in the first two laps, was noteworthy. And now Dungey has another guy to worry about. Great ride, Marvin. Jim Bunch James "Track Hazzard" Stewart didn't just maintain speed, he noticeably picked up his pace like he was somehow going to save face by showing us his speed. Should have done that 18 laps ago. Mike Jansen James Stewart isn't supposed to be lapped but when we have a field as deep as we do this year it's going to happen, a lot! The AMA doesn't penalize other riders for ignoring the blue flag why would it be any different for James Stewart? The flip side of this is, we have 15 guys that can finish in the top five every week and we are missing another four, so I can see the beginning to the end for James Stewart. There is no way he's going to fight for sixth or seventh position on a weekly basis, those positions are beneath him. Brian Philippsen Musquin had almost as much precision and style as Dungey had patience and race craft. Great race. Can't wait to see them match up again. Neal Thomas Love those Stewart brothers. Glad Malcolm t-boned the bike and not the rider. James ought to face a penalty for taking the line and for maintaining speed. Ignore a blue flag when one and two are that close? Unbe- lievable. Steve Ransbotham I really liked the way Malcolm Stewart manned up and said his crash was all his fault. Bubba? He knew they were coming long before he got the blue flag. John E Webb Is it possible for Fox Sports to try and cram anymore NASCAR down my throat? I hate it. Prehab Roxx Broc Hepler To GasGas The dude could haul! As a Gas Gas fan I say, go Broc! Steve Jackson Hepler is damn fast. He'll be an interesting addition to off-road racing. Jim Sheldon Letters to the editor can be sent to voices@cyclenews.com.
