Brazil, and is still striv-
ing for the top of the
podium.
"I came back and
won the last race and
I'm happy for that,"
Haaker said. "It was
good to beat the
monkey off my back.
I've been in the lead
a couple of times but
to secure a race win
here in Brazil is great.
I only made one
major mistake tonight
and that was the
difference between
winning or losing the GP."
Haaker ended his night in the
best way possible, but it was the
battle behind him for second
place that determined the night's
winner. A last-lap pass by Webb
on fellow factory KTM rider
Walker for determined the entire
night. Webb's second-place fin-
ish in the final race gave him just
the edge he needed to come
out on top.
"It all came down to the last
corner for the overall and I man-
aged to get by Walker for the
win," said Webb. "I felt like I was
riding well but I made it hard on
myself with too many mistakes.
We are all pushing so hard it is
easy to crash. I have a week-
end off now and then it is back
for the final two rounds where
everything is still to play for."
Walker still retains the points
lead at 212 points, but Webb
closed the gap to nine points,
as he trails with 203. Haaker
sits third (188) followed by KTM
riders Alfredo Gomez and Taylor
Robert. Gomez carded a fifth-
place finish in Brazil while Ameri-
can rider Robert collected fourth

for second place.
