THOMPSON SCORES
SOUTH POINT WORCS WIN
Blayne Thompson won his
first-ever WORCS Pro Motorcy-
cle race, as the WORCS Cham-
pionship held its first race at the
South Point Casino, against a
stacked field of racers, with 29
racers alone in the Pro class
for round three of the Rocky
Mountain MC World Off-Road
Championship Series presented
by Maxxis and Dirt Bike. With
many racers crossing over from
EnduroCross and motocross
competition, WORCS racers
still carried the day with Jus-
tin Seeds finishing in second,
ahead of defending WORCS Pro
Champion, Robby Bell.
The South Point Casino event
was unique for the normally off-
road-focused WORCS Cham-
pionship with a course racing
through three indoor arenas
along with an outdoor section
on the casino grounds. The
course combined three different
types of dirt and sand, as well as
concrete and asphalt sections.
The main arena featured big-air
jumps, combined with a log sec-
tion and tires, and a huge crowd
of racers gathered to watch the
racing action all weekend with
a record turnout of racers and
spectators in attendance for this
special racing event.
The Pro motorcycle race was
held on Saturday night, and
Blayne Thompson battled with
Justin Seeds early in the event,
and once he took the lead he
overcame a get-off to win the
event.
"I did it," said an exuber-
ant Thompson. "I found good
lines to get around the lappers,
played it smart and came out
