OFF ROAD KENDA AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES ROUND 1 / FEBRUARY 8, 2016 WEDGEFIELD, SOUTH CAROLINA P56 in test one," Groemm said. "My bike was running great and I got a win in test two, but I had a few issues in test three and that cost me 30 or so seconds." It had rained the night before and the forecast was calling for a sleet/ snow mix for the morning. They got rain instead, which made the sandy course close to perfect. There were a few muddy spots but test four was where most riders had issues. "Section four was muddy as hell," Groemm said. "There were ruts and later row change. "My favorite row grow- ing up riding enduros was 31. That was the row I picked. So I aim to be on that row soon." He'll get that choice after his first win. Filling out the podium was Beta's Jesse Groemm riding one of the few two-strokes, a 250 RR, among the pro riders. Groemm stayed in the top-three all day, but a sixth in the final test let Bobbitt sneak by him. Only two seconds separated the two at the end of the day. "I started out good, I think I was fourth (Above) Former champ Steward Baylor was super fast but not perfect. He won two tests but had to settle for fourth overall. (Right) Jesse Groemm kept his two-stroke Beta pinned in the S.C. sand and came away with a third- place finish.
