OFF ROAD
KENDA AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES
ROUND 1 / FEBRUARY 8, 2016
WEDGEFIELD, SOUTH CAROLINA
P60
came out swinging and won the
first test, so there is no doubting
his speed. Luckily for him, the
next enduro isn't until March 20,
so that will certainly help in his
recovery and title chances.
Cory Buttrick, on the SRT
KTM, and rookie pro Drew Hig-
gins, on the FMF/RPM/Maxxis
KTM, rounded out the top 10
overall.
S.C.'s own Zach Hayes (KTM)
topped the Rekluse Expert-AA
class, finishing well ahead of
N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha's Ryan
Belue
"Test one started pretty good,
but then about halfway me and a
lapper were going for the same
line and I wound up hitting one of
the biggest trees on the property
head on," said Hayes. "I was able
to rebound after that and I ended
up turning pretty good times for
the rest of the day."
Minnesota's Nathan Ferderer
(Yamaha) rounded out the Expert
podium. CN
1. Grant Baylor (Yam)
2. Russell Bobbitt (KTM)
3. Jesse Groemm (Bet)
4. Steward Baylor Jr. (KTM)
5. Andrew DeLong (Hus)
6. Chris Bach (Hon)
7. Josh Strang (Hus)
8. Charlie Mullins (KTM)
9. Cory Buttrick (KTM)
10. Drew Higgins (KTM)
Charlie Mullins
returned to the enduro
series for the first time
since injuring both his
wrists, but a pre-race
broken foot slowed
him down. Though not
at first!
