With Jake Weimer taking over for
Broc Tickle at RCH Suzuki (along-
side Ken Roczen), and the return of
both James Stewart (after suffering
a concussion at round one after be-
ing unintentionally T-boned by Ryan
Dungey) and his teammate Blake
Baggett (after an off-season prac-
tice crash led to an injury), Suzuki
was looking good in Oakland with
all four factory-backed Suzuki RM-
Z450s not only on the track, but in
the main event.
Stewart looked like his usual self
on his Yoshimura Suzuki in Oak-
land, at least at first. He took the
holeshot in his heat race, but unlike
in years past, he didn't just sprint
away from the field. Instead, he had
a few areas on the track
where he was clearly
faster, such as over the
"dragon's back," but he
seemed to lack corner
