BLOSE CONQUERS PENNSYLVANIA ARENACROSS T he third stop of the AMSOIL Arenacross Series in Al- lentown, Pennsylvania, was intended to be a double-header, but the blizzard that ravaged the east coast cut the week- end short. Friday night's pro- gram went off without a hitch, but that's all the action racers would see in the PPL Center, as Saturday and Sunday night events were canceled due to the severe weather. Babbitt's Monster Energy Ka- wasaki's Chris Blose became the first repeat winner of the season following an exceptionally consis- tent night, extending the Bab- bitt's Kawasaki win streak to four races. In the Eastern Regional Lites, it was yet another Babbitt's Kawasaki on top of the podium—Jacob Wil- liamson led every lap of the main event making his career-first Arenacross win a dominant one. In the first Arenacross class main event, Woodstock KTM's Travis Sewell grabbed the hole- shot and ran away with the lead. Blose got out to a top-five start, and began working his way forward. The points leader found his way into third place behind Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Kyle Regal, which turned into sec- ond when Regal crashed in the whoops. Sewell held the lead to the finish, taking the win by nearly five seconds ahead of Blose and Babbitt's Kawasaki's Gavin Faith. Blose grabbed the holeshot in the second main event, and went on to have a battle with his Ka- wasaki teammate Jacob Hayes. After a daring pass in the sand section, Hayes secured the lead, but Blose's second-place finish was all he needed to capture the overall win on the night. Sewell collected second with his 1-5 score while TiLUBE Honda's Ben Lamay rounded out the podium with a 7-3. Blose continues to lead the championship with his teammates Hayes and Faith now second and third in points, respectively.
