STEVEN KIRK III REMEMBERED
W
ord spread in the pits of
the Adelanto GP on Sat-
urday that Steven Kirk III—one
of the top 250cc racers in Big
6, AMA Hare & Hound Nation-
als, AMA West Hare Scrambles
and local AMA District 37
events—suffered fatal injuries in
a single-car accident early that
morning. A longtime
member of the Check-
ers Motorcycle Club,
Adelanto host club So
Cal MC paid tribute to
him with a banner roll
before the last race of
the weekend along with
a moment of silence,
everyone holding three
fingers up then the
revving of engines. Kirk
was 22; he is survived
by his father Steven Kirk
II, mother Tamara and
sister Kaitlyn.

BELL GOES 360!
B
ell plans to integrate a 360fly camera into its
Star street bike helmet range. This is big news
for street riders as the Fly 360 is claimed to have
the widest view of any action camera currently on
the market with 360° horizontal and 240° of vertical
vision available to the user.
The camera will have a two-hour battery life and
features Bluetooth and wifi so riders can live stream
video and transfer files to a lap top. The camera
also has tag locations and a barometer, altimeter
and accelerometer. But best of all, the camera has
a Collision Avoidance Alert function, meaning it will
tell you if you're in danger of getting hit, and to get
the f*** out of the way!
No word on cost yet but the Fly 360 Helmet
should be available by the end of the year. CN
2016 is shaping
up to be the year
of the Smart
Helmet, and Bell
is the latest to
throw its hat in
the ring.
Steven Kirk III is
remembered by a
moment of silence
on the starting line
at the Adelanto
Grand Prix.
