IN THE WIND P36 REED TO YAMAHA I n case you haven't heard, Chad Reed is back with Yamaha and will finish out his career with the company that he pretty much started with in the early 2000s. Yamaha has brought back its factory effort in supercross with Chad Reed at the helm, and with it sponsors Monster En- ergy, 360fly, Chaparral Motors- ports and Valli Construction. Reed and the factory Yamaha team is going to focus just on supercross for now, but Reed will compete in both (Charlotte and Glen Helen) FIM MXGPs in the U.S. this year, as well as two rounds in Europe. Keith McCarty, Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., said, "All of us at Ya- maha are proud to re-introduce our factory supercross team. We've had a long-standing rela- tionship with Monster Energy in road racing, and we're thrilled to be able to expand our success- ful partnership to now include supercross. We also welcome back old friends Chaparral Mo- torsports and Valli Construction, and we welcome new partner 360fly. Of course, we're also very excited to have Chad Reed back with us again as one of our Yamaha bLU cRU riders." "There's no place like home right?" Reed said. "With Yamaha and the whole crew here, it definitely feels that way. I have amazing history with the Yamaha bLU cRU, but really, it's about looking forward and what we can continue to build together that motivates and excites me the most. I'm thankful for all my sponsors, especially Yamaha, Monster Energy, 360fly, Chap- arral Motorsports, and Valli Construction for bringing back the Yamaha factory Supercross team for 2016! It's something special for 22, and for all Ya- maha bLU cRU fans! One thing that hasn't faded with age is my passion for racing and being on the gate with the best riders in the world. I've never felt more determined and excited to be a part of it." CN Chad Reed will finish out his career with Yamaha.
