FAITH FIRES FIRST IN AMSOIL ARENACROSS
A
renacross racers heated
up Cincinnati on Saturday
night with the opening round of
the AMSOIL Arenacross Se-
ries. Babbitt's Kawasaki riders
dominated the action inside
the U.S. Bank Arena, taking all
three podium spots with Gavin
Faith named the overall win-
ner. Despite landing in the top
spot, Faith did not win either
main event, instead using his
consistent 2-3 finish to claim the
victory.
The main event wins went to
Woodstock/TZR KTM's Travis
Sewell and Team Babbitt's/Mon-
ster Energy Kawasaki's Jacob
Hayes. Each rider put in a great
performance to take a main
event win, but in the end, Faith
was the only rider in the field to
end both mains on the podium.
Hayes ended the night in sec-
ond overall with a 5-1 tally while
his Babbitt's Kawasaki teammate
Chris Blose carded a 4-4 finish
for third in Cincinnati. Gared
Steinke narrowly missed out on
the podium with a 3-5 finish.
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
rider spent most of the first main
event leading the way and fend-
ing off a hard-charging Sewell,
but in the end, both Sewell and
Faith got around him, leaving
Steinke to finish third.
As the winner of the first main
event, Sewell was given the op-
portunity to choose from three
suitcases, the contents of which
determine the starting order for
the second main event. The suit-
case Sewell selected contained
the "full inversion" card, mean-
ing the gate picks were inverted
for the entire field in the second
main.
This time around it was Keith
Tucker who jumped out to the
holeshot. Fresh off his wire-to-
