P110 BY STEVE BAUER CN III FRIENDLY FIRE "G round control to Major Tom…" First, on a side note and a sad one at that, David Bowie died tonight. I heard the news just as I sat down to write my thoughts about last night's opening round of the 2016 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. I really liked Bowie; he was an innovator and didn't seem to care what people thought about him. Most of his music has stood up well over the test of time and he wrote some iconic songs that will always resonate with the kids of my generation. Rest in Peace, Ziggy Stardust. On to Supercross. Anderson was relentless during that series, often coming from behind and clawing his way towards the front, then snatch- ing victory away from Seely on SATURDAY NIGHT REWIND Cole Seely (14) and Jason Anderson (21) were back at it at Angel Stadium, this time they were battling for the lead in the 450SX class. What a great night of racing. PHOTOGRAPHY KIT PALMER
