Will Márquez get another shot
at beating the Americans next
year? The Barcelona Superpres-
tigio event is establishing itself
as a modern classic, and looks
set to repeat next year. Given the
rumors circulating about a sec-
ond event in the UK, and possi-
bly even in the Middle East, this
could grow into something even
bigger in the near future. CN

your best all the time, it's better
mentally, because if you're calm
and relaxed, you make fewer
mistakes."
It was that calmness of ap-
proach which brought him vic-
tory; that, and a used set of tires.
Seven-time GNC champion Chris
Carr's only criticism of the event
was the decision to use Super-
moto rain tires for the race.
"The tall blocks and soft
compound of a new tire, those
blocks vibrate and create heat,
and once they get heat in them,
the performance goes away.
Once they're worn, they will
run cooler, the second half of
the tire is the better part in this
environment."
One year ago Baker was all banged up in the
hospital after crashing in practice, this year
he takes his second victory over Márquez with
Mees rounding out the podium.
