OSBORNE TOPS DAY IN THE DIRT
F
or many southern California
motocrossers, Thanksgiv-
ing weekend means one thing:
A Day In The Dirt! Thousands,
once again, descended on Glen
Helen Raceway for the 18
th
run-
ning of the cult classic, and this
year's big winners at the Red
Bull-backed event were Zach
Osborne who took the Coup de
Grace victory, Josh Grant who
topped the Pro/Am, and the
three-man wrecking crew of Arik
Swan, Darryn Durham and Tyler
Bereman who took home the
Bossa Nova team race win.
Osborne piloted his Rockstar
Energy Husqvarna FC 250 to
victory in the Coup de Grace.
He had his hands full with a
hard-charging Taylor Robert on
his heels. Robert and his Facto-
ry KTM teammate Ivan Ramirez
showed their moto chops at Day
In The Dirt, but couldn't quite
run down Osborne for the big
win.
Adult mini racing was also
on the menu at A Day In The
Dirt, and vintage racing has
also joined the fray. For the
second year in a row, the Hell
On Wheels crew held a Satur-
day race on a separate TT-style
course known as the "Ascot
Track" with classes for vintage
bikes and a run-what-ya-brung
class.
The evening festivities, includ-
ing the Saturday Night Go-Go
Party, were also once again a
key feature of the event, and
capped off a great—albeit some-
what cold and wet—Thanksgiv-
ing weekend for many. CN
