P90 40 Years Ago December 9, 1975 Desert racing was the big topic out West, and Larry Roeseler was pictured on the cover for being the top desert racer of the year in the Lightweight division… The Trans-AMA MX Series made its way to Saddleback Park in California, where Tony DiStefano won again this time over Gary Semics and Brad Lackey, prompting CN reporter Jody Weisel to write, "…Tony DiStefano watermarked the decline of the European motocross empire."… We covered the B-to-V Hare & Hound Memorial Trail Ride. 30 Years Ago December 11, 1985 We took a spin on Steve Eklund's 560 ATK that he rode at the ABS-TV Superbikers race at Carlsbad, and it was pictured on the cover in action 30 years ago… We reported another one of Dan Smith's victories in the Southern California desert, this time at the iconic Barstow-to-Vegas Hare & Hound. It was his second B-to-V win of his career… We showed you the hottest bikes of 1986 from Kawasaki, which included the 1200cc Voyager XII and EX250 Ninja… We also covered Freddie Spencer's Honda test at the San Jose Mile. 20 Years Ago December 6, 1995 Personal Watercraft National Champion Victor Sheldon was pictured on the cover doing a little photo modeling for us on our 1996 Kawasaki KX250 test bike, which was featured in the issue… Alan Cathcart gave us his take on riding the European version of the Yamaha TRX850… We interviewed NASB Champion Keith Pinkstaff… We were on hand to ride the L.A. B-to-V dual sport event… We reported that Team Honda/1-800-Collect's Jeremy McGrath had wrapped up the FIM World Supercross Championship with another win in Tokyo.
