"As far as the championship, I definitely felt a lot of pressure but I knew I have been riding solid all year and made good de- cisions," Webb said. "It worked out in my favor tonight. I felt like I wasn't the fastest rider tonight but settling for second was okay be- cause I won the championship." Redmond had bike trouble late in the race and his race was done. Factory Beta's Max Ger- ston moved into fourth overall followed by Graffunder rounding out the top-five. WOMEN'S FINAL The Women's-class Cham- pionship came down to the final round of the year and was even closer than the men's Pro battle with only one point separating the top two contend- ers—Husqvarna-backed Sandra Gomez and FMF/RPM/KTM Team Maxxis' Rachel Gutish. Coming into the event, Spain's Gomez had a single point lead over a very determined Gutish. Gutish started fast, grab- bing the holeshot easily with a great jump off the line. Go- mez chased immediately after Husqvarna's Sandra Gomez Cantero was thrilled to win the Women's Championship. It all came down to the last race.
