T
he GEICO AMA EnduroCross Se-
ries lived up to its hype and more
as the traveling indoor off-road
race made its final stop of the year in
Ontario, California. High drama, intense
action and palpable tension all boiled
together for a final event showdown
worthy of the series' "Toughest Race On
Two Wheels" moniker. As he's done all
season, Cody Webb rode smart, smooth
and fast to earn second place overall and
guarantee his second championship in a
row.
Factory FMF KTM's Taylor Robert
used his all-out afterburner speed and
fearless jumping ability to win the final
event convincingly in front of the rowdy
crowd packing the Citizens Business
Bank Arena. The win was Robert's first
of 2015 after an early season injury
and the second of his career. Rockstar
Husqvarna's Colton Haaker rounded out
the podium in third.
Coming into the final round, champi-
onship front-runners Webb and Haaker
were virtually even—tying in every main
event finish category throughout the pre-
vious eight rounds. Both came into the
final round with three wins, three second-
places, one third-place finish and one
fourth-place finish.
Still, Webb held a 10-point lead over
Haaker after successfully earning 13
bonus points to Haaker's three up to the
final race. In EnduroCross, heat races
and Hot Laps are extremely important as
Championship points are on the line at
each round—one for wining the heat race
and one for putting down the fastest eve-
ning Hot Lap, which is a one-lap sprint
show in front of the crowd from the top
