orge Lorenzo is the
2015 World Champion.
The 28-year-old Span-
iard won more races and
earned more points than
anybody else. He withstood
huge pressure both off the
track and on it at Valencia,
with two Repsol Hondas
pressing to the end. In
this way, he took his third
premier-class title, with the
narrowest of wins.
For many fans, it wasn't
enough. His defeated his
Movistar Yamaha teammate,
Valentino Rossi, who finished
fourth behind the Repsol
Hondas of Marc Marquez
and Dani Pedrosa. Rossi had
put such a spin on the clos-
ing rounds of the season—
suggesting conspiracy and
unfair play—which eventually
resulted in his back-of-the-
