double.
Webb won his heat race, the
first of the night in front of Geoff
Aaron's Gas Gas and 16-year-old
Ty Cullins' factory Beta machine.
In the second heat, Husqvarna's
Mike Brown rocketed to the
holeshot and railed the first few
laps with impressive speed. His
10-point lead over Haaker. Which
just happens to be how many
more bonus points he's earned
in 2015. Heat races and Hot
Laps matter.
Webb went to business in Ida-
ho easily winning his heat race
and instantly padding his 11-point
championship lead coming in
to the event right away during
the night show. In the evening
Hot Laps he flat-out smoked the
clock, proving again he is the
Maxxis' Cody Webb—champion-
ship points leader and defending
2014 champ. He had no such
worries other than a quick chest-
to-bar encounter in the Firewood
Pile in practice. His lines were
clean. His pace was fiery. Webb
was nearly flawless in all efforts.
And crazy fast. He grabbed the
two bonus points, again, which
can very likely win this champi-
onship for him.
