MCELRATH SUFFERS INJURY
A
wrist injury suffered while practicing for the
2016 Supercross season will put Lucas Oil/
Troy Lee Designs/KTM's Shane McElrath on
the sidelines for a while. According to his team,
McElrath will be out of action for four to six
weeks.
This means that McElrath will probably com-
pete in the East 250 Supercross Series for the
TLD team, which will be participating in the East
Championship for the first time. CN

COOPER WEBB WINS GENOVA SUPERCROSS

ooper Webb was the big winner at the Ge-
noa Supercross in Genova, Italy, November
7. In the two-race formant, the Yamalube/Star
Racing Yamaha rider finished second to BTO/
KTM's Justin Brayton in the first moto but came
back to win the second moto to nab the overall
victory over RCH Suzuki's Broc Tickle, who went
3-3 on the night. Brayton was battling with Justin
Bogle in the second race when he went down.
He got up and finished 11
th
for fourth overall.
Bogle, on the GEICO Honda, finished third
overall. Dylan Ferrandis and Cedric Soubeyras
rounded out the top-five.
In the combined SX and Lites Superfinal,
Brayton came back to take the win over Soubey-
ras and Valentin Guillod. Brayton pretty much led
from start to finish. Webb was in the hunt for a
top finish before falling out of contention.
Up-and-coming rider Brian Hsu won the Lites
