H
usqvarna has introduced
the 701 Enduro, an
all-new model from the
gun-sight brand. The 701
Enduro is a cross between a
big-bore dual sport bike and a
midsize adventure bike. Either
way, it's designed to do a lot
of both.
It's powered by a 690cc
EFI engine that is said to
produce 67 horsepower.
It has a double spark
plug ignition, selectable
engine maps and a ride-
by-wire throttle system.
Husqvarna says it has a
6000-mile service interval
and "extremely low fuel
consumption."
The trellis frame is made
out of high-grade chromium-
molybdenum steel and the
rear subframe polyamide
plastic, which integrates
the 3.9-gallon fuel tank.
Suspension is handled by WP
components, including the
closed-cartridge 4CS fork
that is designed specifically
for the 701 Enduro.
It has ABS (with off-road
settings), Brembo brakes
and a hydraulically operated
slipper clutch.
The Husqvarna 701 Enduro
will be available in the U.S.
and Canada in February.
MSRP has not been
announced.
