IN THE WIND P30 WALKER WINS FAST EDDY EXTREME ENDURO R ed Bull KTM factory rider Jonny Walker claimed another Extreme Enduro victory over the October 31 – November 1 weekend, this time at the Fast Eddy Extreme Enduro in the U.K., with fellow KTM rider Da- vid Knight taking second overall. The race marked the return of former AMA EnduroCross Cham- pion Taddy Blazusiak who has been away from racing after hav- ing been diagnosed with the Ep- stein Barr virus earlier this year. Blazusiak finished third overall but finished off the evening with a win in the three-race format. Walker took wins in the first two races and capped off the night with a second, which was more than enough to take the overall victory. Knight went 3-2- 3, while Blazusiak went 2-7-1. "It was good to be back on the track and really good to get the win and to see how my fitness is," Walker said. "I do have to work a lot on my fitness but I know my speed is there. I felt like I rode good tonight and I am happy to be going into the next one. There's a good rivalry between Taddy and me and I think that it's going to be like that all year, as long as neither of us goes too hard on each other. Tonight I didn't feel I was aggressive." "I had great fun and it was good to be back," Blazusiak said. "It's been a while since I raced but everything is there, the speed is there. We still have some things to do with the bike but we got it way better at the end of the night. Jonny and me came together in the second moto and I went down, which was bad luck. I tried to go on but the front end was twisted and it just kept throwing me off the track." CN REDMOND WINS PERTH INTERNATIONAL ENDUROCROSS B eta USA rider Kyle Redmond took advantage of a break in the AMA EnduroCross Cham- pionship Series to head Down Under for the Perth International Endurocross, part of the 2015 Perth Motorcycle Show in west- ern Australia. The event, which also welcomed extreme enduro star Graham Jarvis, took place at the historic Claremont Show- grounds and sent riders through a challenging man-made endu- rocross-style course. Redmond nabbed the win, and pocketed $5000 in the process, besting Aussie native Daniel Sanders and Jarvis for the big win. The indoor-style obstacles weren't quite what Jarvis is used to riding, and the fac- tory Husqvarna rider struggled to gain the advantage. But Redmond had no problem finding a rhythm on the course aboard his Beta 300 RR. The AMA EnduroCross regular, who received the invite to Perth after AMA National Enduro and GNCC Champion Russell Bobbitt was unable to attend, received an ambitious chal- lenge from Australian rider Daniel Sanders. The 21-year- old Aussie rider had the honor of setting the fastest lap time of the night, but couldn't match the consistency of Redmond in the main event. Sanders finished a respect- able second ahead of Jarvis, who rounded out the podium. CN American Kyle Redmond (center) took top honors at the Perth International Endurocross in Australia.
