ast week we told you
Honda was about to reveal
its updated 2016 NC700X
and CB500X models, well,
here they are. Both models
have noteworthy updates for
2016.
The NC700X and NC700X
ABS are still offered in versions
with a standard gearbox and
a fully automatic Dual Clutch
Transmission (DCT), the
latter now has three different
sport-mode settings. They also
have a larger 5.8-gallon fuel
tank (up .25 gallons). Other
updates include a revised
windscreen and meter, as well
as an LED taillight, a utility rail
to simplify fitting a tank bag, a
new pentagon-shaped muffler
with an improved exhaust sound.
Also new are the "L"-shaped air
valves on the wheels for added
clearance, and a smoother-
functioning "wave"-style key.
The 2016 NC700Xs will be
available in April. MSRP has not
yet been announced.
The CB500X and CB500X
ABS get new styling, a taller
windscreen, LED lighting front
and rear, and a new muffler.
Other upgrades include
externally adjustable fork
preload, an adjustable front-
brake lever, improved gear-
change feel, a hinged fuel
cap, a "wave"-style key and an
improved shock setting.
The CB500X ($6499) will be
available in Matte Black Metallic
and the CB500X ABS ($6799)
in Matte Brown Metallic. Both
versions will be available in
