Ricky Brabec also grabbed a
share of the headlines by return-
ing from the broken neck he
suffered at round six in June and
spanking the competition in his
debut as a JCR Honda rider. That
gave him his third victory of the
season and vaulted him past FMF
KTM support rider Gary Suther-
lin—who claimed second, about a
minute and a half behind—for sec-
ond in final series points. Unoffi-
cially, the top three in final points
are Ramirez with 174, Brabec at
161 and Sutherlin on 157.

Valley. It made for a long weekend
of racing, though he wasn't the only
one riding both. Others doing the
double included Axel Pearson, Ryan
Smith, David Kamo, Damon Bush,
Dalton Shirey, Clayton Gerstner,
Nick Stover and Bret Klingner.
