Bell Helmets' new race helmet, the
Pro Star, has a Virus CoolJade power
mesh liner that is designed to reduce
skin-surface temperatures. Designed
for tucked riding positions, it has more
vertical and lateral range of vision.
The shell uses progressive-layering
technology, a system of three materials
to protect in low-, mid-, high-speed
and rotational-impact velocities. The
reinforced carbon shell is Bell's lightest
and strongest to date, and it meets Snell
M2015, DOT, ECE 22.05 and AS/NZ
standards.

The K5 helmet was developed using AGV's
process that simulates impacts to virtually test
the helmet's strength prior to creating a mold.
The K5 has a fiberglass/carbon-fiber shell,
an aerodynamic shape, compact size, wide
peripheral vision and AGV's Integrated Ventilation
System. The base profile is curved to reduce
the risk of collarbone injuries in a crash, and the
helmet readily accepts Share, AGV's integrated
communication system.
