The coveted job of official MotoGP test rider for KTM has been linked in the past to Nicky Hayden and Karel Abraham—but now the cat is out of the bag from the Austrian manufac- turer. Finn Mika Kallio will renew his links to take up the role. Kallio rode for KTM in 125, finishing sec- ond overall in 2005 and 2006, and in 250, placed third in 2008. He was also runner up in Moto2 last year. Turning 33 in November, Kallio will head testing of KTM's 2017 MotoGP entry.
