2016 FIM MXGP SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
T
he 2016 FIM MXGP schedule has
been released and the big news is
that two rounds are scheduled in the
U.S., the first at Charlotte Motor Speed-
way on September 3 and the second a
week later at Glen Helen on September
11, which will be the season finale.
The Charlotte round comes at a bit of
a surprise but makes sense. The venue
certainly has the capabilities of host-
ing such an event, like the TT Circuit
Assen round of the series did this year
in Holland, and will take place the week
after the final round of the AMA Pro
Motocross Championship Series at
"nearby" Crawfordsville, Indiana, so it
is presumed that many of the top U.S.
riders might hang around another week
to participate.
The Charlotte round is also sched-
uled for Saturday, whereas most of the GP rounds are held on Sundays. CN
