BELL SEALS THE DEAL AT PRIMM WORCS
P
recision Concept's Robby
Bell finished off the 2015
Rocky Mountain MC World
Off-Road Championship Series,
presented by Maxxis and Dirt
Bike, on the highest note pos-
sible, winning at the WORCS
season finale at Buffalo Bill's
Casino in Primm, Nevada, Octo-
ber 17-18. KTM's Gary Sutherlin
finished in the second spot fol-
lowed by Justin Seeds.
Bell grabbed a thrilling hole-
shot followed by his teammate
Seeds, but Hinson/Honda's
Justin Jones quickly charged
past the two and into the lead
early in the race. Bell was able
to remount a charge and recap-
ture the lead when Jones made
a pit stop, and this time he held
the lead to the checkered flag
for the win.
"I think that was the best hole-
shot of my career," said Bell. "As
soon as the bike fired, I was go-
ing. From there, I had hoped to
start gapping people, but Justin
Jones was riding really fast. He
passed me in a little S section,
so I just stayed on my pace from
there. As the race settled in, I
was really confident. After the
pit stops, I got just ahead of him
and he fell out. Then Gary was
charging hard. He was catch-
ing me a little bit, but then the
white flag came out, and I came
away with the win, which is how
I wanted to finish this season."
Sutherlin charged at the end.
He was gaining on Bell through
the late stages of the race but
just ran short of time and fin-
ished second in the race and in
the 2015 title chase.
"I had nothing for Robby and
Justin at the beginning," said
Sutherlin. "I had arm pump
at the beginning of the race,
but after getting over that, I
started catching them. I put on
a charge in the last 45 minutes,
but I just ran out of time. I just
fell short today. We finished out
the season healthy. I'm going
to make some big changes in
the offseason, and I'll come out
swinging next year."
Seeds earned his second
Robby Bell capped off
his championship-win-
ning season with a win at
the final WORCS round
at Primm, Nevada.
