do. We're going to have an event
on Saturday night that's different
in format completely to what Fri-
day night is—the AMA Pro Finale.
"Our format is going to be sim-
ilar, but a little bit different," Carr
said. "In the end we're going to
have the best four flat trackers of
the night go up against the best
four non-flat trackers of the night
for the inaugural Superprestigio
American winner."
In Spain, it was a category of
Spanish riders against the oth-
ers. So that will be the key—the
American Superprestigio will be
flat trackers against the All-Stars,
basically anyone who is not a
full-time flat tracker.
There will be timed qualifying
with 18 riders in each bracket
that will seed them into three
rounds of what are going to be
called qualifying heats, "or for
an old-school flat track term—
scratch heats," Carr threw in,
that will score points.
"After those three rounds we
only eliminate a couple riders,"
he explained. "So we're going to
see most of our stars most of the
night."
So the plan is an action-
packed night of racing. The
riders that don't make it will end
up in a couple of semis and then
possibly a last chance qualifier.
"We have an approximate 27
races that we're going to run
over the course of the night,
compared to 15 the night be-
fore at the AMA Pro Final," Carr
said. "We're going to squeeze in
some heats and a main of Super
Hooligans as well, so that should
be a lot of fun."
Super what?
"Yeah, it's the brainchild of
Roland Sands and a few others
there from Southern California,"
he said. "They're going to be
an addition to our program on
the night of the Superprestigio
where they're going to be build-
ing some custom V-twin bikes
that are based off a street bike. I
don't know what their rules are.
I'm going to let Roland handle
that one."
On top of the extra entertain-
ment of Roland Sands custom
V-twin class, the other draw will
be the All-Stars, which are going
to be announced leading up to
the event.
"Our hope is that it will be
an entertaining addition to the
