PUTTING THE KOBUSCH ON THEM

wasaki's Lance Kobusch followed
his older teammate Austin Forkner's
example in going 1-1 in the Monster
Energy Cup Supermini event, but
he did it in a completely different
way.
Whereas Forkner took holeshots
and ran away with both motos,
Kobusch played the spoiler both
times out. His starts weren't amaz-
ing, but in moto one, he stole the
lead away from KTM's Austin Black
with two laps to go to take the win.
Then, in moto two, he overcame a
major mistake in the rhythm section
to catch and pass Stilez Robertson
on the last lap, only for Robertson to
get on the gas too hard in the track's
grandstand turn, spin out, and end
up underneath the Holeshot Award
Toyota Tundra.
"Hopefully it just keeps getting
better and better," Kobusch said.
"This win definitely helped I think,
and I'm stoked."
