IT'S OFFICIAL: TOMAC TO KAWASAKI
I
t came as no surprise, but
Kawasaki officially announced
what we already knew, that Eli
Tomac had signed with its Mon-
ster Energy Kawasaki factory
race team. It was already widely
known that he had committed
to the team months ago, but
Kawasaki made the signing of-
ficial at the AIMExpo in Florida
last week.
Tomac joins the returning
Wil Hahn on the team and will
make his racing debut at the
opening round of the Monster
Energy AMA Supercross Series
at Anaheim Stadium, January 9.
Tomac comes from the GEICO
Honda team (though he was
getting factory support from
Honda) and hasn't raced since
injuring both his shoulders at
the Lakewood, Colorado, Na-
tional Motocross on May 30. CN
Eli Tomac can
now wear green
in public.
