The final round of the AMA Camel Pro Series played out at Ontario Motor
Speedway in California where Kenny Roberts took the win but couldn't retain
the number-one plate, which went to Gary Scott. Steve Baker won the Inter-
national Lightweight race… Jimmy Weinert took the overall win in the second
round of the Trans-AMA MX Series at Mid-Ohio. Jim Pomeroy was second,
followed by Roger DeCoster and Gerrit
Wolsink… Bob Balentine was the big win-
ner at the two-day California City Grand Prix.

Honda introduced its new line of 1986 motorcycles and the hot bike was
the all-new VFR 750 which was featured on the cover… We covered the 2

Annual Iron Butt Rally. George Egloff was one of the four team riders that
took the win aboard a Suzuki GS1150… Ty Davis made headlines for being
the top motocross rider during the amateur portion of the CMC Trans-Cal MX
Series at Laguna Seca… We interviewed speedway racer Alan Christian-
son… Thierry Michaud wrapped up the World Trials Championship.

being the top American class finisher at the ISDE in Australia… Geoff Aaron
