S
ome things are born out
of necessity. In the busi-
ness of sports, (in this
case, a race series), you need to
have coverage—a way to reach
your fans. That was how Fan-
schoice.tv was born.
The race properties under
Daytona Motorsports Group's
(DMG) AMA Pro Racing needed
coverage, most notably it's big-
gest property—AMA Pro Road
Racing—which had lost its TV
package in 2014.
"Our live timing and scor-
ing was generating great traffic
numbers, and live streaming
was the next logical extension of
our online platform," said Gene
Crouch, AMA Pro Racing's direc-
tor of communications and tech-
