VOL. 52 ISSUE 39 SEPTEMBER 29, 2015 P33 FIRST FIVE RIDERS FOR U.S. SUPERPRESTIGIO ANNOUNCED A MA Pro Flat Track's finest— Jared Mees, Brad Baker, Kenny Coolbeth, Jr., Jake Johnson and Bryan Smith—have been announced as the first five invitees to the much anticipated Superprestigio of the Americas. The first of its kind in the U.S., will be held on an indoor short track at the Orleans Hotel & Ca- sino in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 21. "We are happy to announce the original five riders to be in- vited to the first ever Superpres- tigio of the Americas," said SMI President Steve McLaughlin. "Jared, Brad, Kenny, Jake and Bryan represent five of the most elite motorcycle racers in the world and for anyone to become a Superprestigio winner, they'll likely have to go through one of these guys. "Flat track is the original ex- treme sport so it's only appro- priate we bring this race to Las Vegas, and with these champion riders coming to the Orleans for the inaugural Superprestigio of the Americas, fans are guaran- teed to see some intense and entertaining racing." Two-time and reigning AMA Pro Grand National Champion Jared Mees looks forward to the event, which immediately follows the season finale in Las Vegas. "I'm looking forward to racing in Las Vegas," said Mees, who rides with sponsorship from Las Vegas Harley-Davidson. "The Grand National Championship will be decided, so everyone will be able to go out and just race without having to worry about points. It will be fun to race against the guys I go up against week after week, as well as mixing in with top riders from other types of racing. It should be a blast." Spots are still open for ad- ditional AMA Pro Grand National riders to qualify and some of those won't be decided until the night before the event. CN ensure access for OHVs in the area into the future. The bill would also designate 21,000 acres as the Joaquin Rocks Wilderness. The bill was introduced to Congress on April 16, and has since been re- ferred to the Subcommittee on Federal Lands. The Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) and the Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC) have issued action alerts, encouraging off- roaders to help support the bill by reaching out to Congressional Representatives and asking them to support H.R. 1838.
