VOL. 52 ISSUE 38 SEPTEMBER 22, 2015 P49
'run-what-you-brung' race for the Pros
that came with the carrot of a $2500
purse. For Dymond it was redemption as
the veteran racer took top honors for the
cash and his first win of 2015.
"I love racing on a true street course,"
Dymond said. "I love Sturgis. Felt awe-
some to put together the win."
It was also redemption for McAllister
as the reigning champ was able to put
it up on the box in second. Hometown
hero Dawson Schieffer rounded out the
podium in third as well as scored his
fifth National Amateur main event this
year. CN
2016 WSBK CALENDAR UPDATE
A
fter the MotoGP calendar
was announced at the
Misano round the week before,
World Superbike turned its
attention to the possibilities of
2016. At least the media did, as
Dorna gave out no more clues
than they had at the previous
round in Sepang.
The first round will take place at
Phillip Island on the last weekend
in February, with probably the
Chang round in Thailand immedi-
ately one weekend afterward.
There may be another Asian
round at Sepang two weeks after
that, but that may stay in its sum-
mer place, as it was in 2015.
Then the series should go
to Aragon on roughly the same
weekend as this year—two
weeks later it goes to Assen,
two weeks after that Monza
(back on the calendar, probably,
and with a tighter Curva Grande
and no first chicane).
Donington will be next up,
with Imola, and a probable but
not definite round in Russia,
with a deal done directly with
the track at Moscow.
The third of three Italian
rounds will be at Misano,
then most likely a round in the
U.S.—Circuit of The Americas or
Laguna Seca again.
The Sachsenring should
replace the Jerez round and be
followed by the hardly annual of
Magny Cours and the season
finale in Qatar.
At the moment there is guess-
work involved but most of the
season should be a mirror of
2015, for the races that stay on
board, at least.
